More Great Skincare Products From InstaNatural

I recently tried two eye products from InstaNatural and loved them, so when I had the opportunity to try some of their other products I was very excited!

InstaNatural is a leading online and global distributor of more than a dozen nature-inspired beauty and cosmetics products.  Their products are also one of the top sellers on Amazon and can be found in spas, salons and aesthetic centers in the US, UK, and soon to be in Canada.  These products are made in the USA, are not tested on animals, and they also have a lifetime satisfaction guarantee!

This time I tried their Age-Defying Retinol Serum, Advanced Action Retinol Moisturizer, and Advanced Formula Vitamin C Serum together (both morning and night).

First up is the InstaNatural Age-Defying Retinol Serum.  This is an anti-aging serum said to reduce the appearance of deep wrinkles, dark circles, and fine lines for youthful and radiant looking skin.  It is a Retinol Serum 2.5% with 20% Vitamin C, 10% Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin E, and a powerful skin-firming antioxidant blend for face, eye area and sensitive skin.  It comes in an eye dropper bottle and only takes a few drops smoothed over freshly cleaned skin.  I applied this all over my face and neck and let it soak in for about a minute.  It's very light, with a pleasant scent, and soaks right in.

Next, after applying the InstaNatural Age-Defying Retinol Serum, I applied the InstaNatural Advanced Formula Vitamin C Serum.  This product is said to help diminish the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, sun spots, age spots and skin discoloration.  It is a Vitamin C Serum for face 20% with Hyaluronic Acid, Ferulic Acid, Rosehip Oil, Seabuckthorn Oil, Plant Stem Cells, Vitamin E and more.  It comes in an eye dropper bottle and I applied this over my entire face and neck as well, and let soak in for about a minute.  It's very light and has a slight (but wonderful) citrus scent.

Last up was the InstaNatural Advanced Action Retinol Moisturizer.  This anti-aging moisturizer is said to be the perfect night or day cream to reduce wrinkles and other signs of aging.  It is to hydrate the skin and restore an even skin tone and texture for a youthful radiance.  It is a Retinol Moisturizer Cream with 2.5% Retinol, 10% Vitamin C, Vegan Hyaluronic Acid, Shea Butter and Jojoba Oil.  It comes in a pump formula and is a very light cream with no scent that I applied all over my face and neck, over the InstaNatural Age-Defying Retinol Serum and the InstaNatural Advanced Formula Vitamin C Serum.

**Note that with ANY Retinol product(s), you should always wear sunscreen during the day because Retinol can make your skin susceptible to the sun.

As noted above, I then applied my own SPF facial moisturizer to protect my skin during the day.  To some of you this may seem like a lot of products to put on my face, and I have to admit I was thinking the same thing at first.  But, I promised myself I would use these all of these products for at least a week and a half to give my honest opinion.

After just a few days I noticed my tiny lines and wrinkles seemed to lessen and my skin felt the best it has in years!  I have been using the products religiously (along with the eye products I used here) for a week and a half (day and night) and I'm hooked!  I don't really know if all these products are necessary to use all at once, but I have seen a difference in my skin. My skin look healthy and vibrant!

This makes five InstaNatural products I've tried so far, and I have nothing but GOOD things to say about all of them.  I would highly recommend! One big plus to me, is that after you place your order you will receive an email from AJ, InstaNatural's founder, with tips and directions for your product(s), and if you have any questions or concerns you can contact him directly and he will respond within 24 hours.  How awesome is that?!

Go order some now on Amazon

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!  I had a great time with my family and am enjoying my girls still being off from school.  We have been keeping very busy and are making plans for New Year's Eve.  It's great to be back after taking a few days off!

I love camel and black together, but I wanted to jazz this outfit up a little bit.  I added an infinity scarf that I made here, black tights, and my cowgirl boots and was out to the door.  I've had this sweater for a few years and I actually made this pencil skirt.  I don't have a tutorial for the skirt, but maybe I'll make another one soon and post the tutorial.

I also recently wrote that these boots were in the back of my closet but I resurrected them, and now I'm wearing them more.  It's amazing what happens when you rearrange some things!

Purple Sweater

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!  I sure did!  We celebrated Christmas early at my brother's house in Kansas City.  We moved from Kansas City almost two years ago, so it was nice to go back and visit.  I think I ate a little too much, but we all had a great time!

I recently wrote about this hand-me-up sweater, and here's another one I scored from my youngest daughter.  It's exactly the same as the other one, only in purple.  It fit, and I liked the color, so I kept it!  Yay for me!

I added my white button-up, skinny jeans, my vintage boots, and one of my favorite scarves.  When my youngest daughter saw me wearing it she just said, "Mooooommmm!"  Not sure if that was a good thing or not!  Now, if we just wore the same shoe size! {wink!}

Black, Tan, and Leopard

I have to laugh!  The day I wore this I was rushed to get ready and just threw on the next thing in my closet.  Black tee, tan cardigan, skinny jeans with my leopard infinity scarf and ankle boots.  Pretty simple.  I wasn't all that crazy about the look, but all day long I received compliments from strangers that it was a great look.  Seriously?!  It makes me laugh because I realized that even simple pieces put together can create something great!

Also, I'm finally on Instagram!  I know, I know, I'm behind the times, but not anymore!!  Follow along with me at Positively Stephanie.  I'd love to follow you too!  Yay!  Now I just have to figure it out! :)  Have a super weekend, friends!

Black Vest and Leggings

I have had this knit vest in my closet for so many years that I can't even remember when I bought it.  For some reason it never makes the donation pile...I think it's because it's black (so it goes with everything) and because it's long enough to cover my bum, plus it's very comfy.

I just added my grey long sleeve tee, black leggings, black ankle boots and a scarf.  Not a very colorful outfit, but that's okay sometimes.  We've had so many dreary, cloudy days here lately that I guess I fit right in!  I sure hope the sun comes out soon!

Fabulous Eye Products From InstaNatural

When it comes to beauty products, I really love ones that are all natural or organic.  I recently had the opportunity to try two different eye products from InstaNatural, and am very impressed!

I first did a little research on the company, and found that InstaNatural is a leading online and global distributor of more than a dozen nature-inspired beauty and cosmetics products.  Their products are also one of the top sellers on Amazon and can be found in spas, salons and aesthetic centers in the US, UK, and soon to be in Canada.  These products are made in the USA,are not tested on animals, and they also have a lifetime satisfaction guarantee!

I placed my order on Amazon, and because I chose the free shipping, it took about five days which wasn't bad considering the holiday season.

Okay, on to the products!  I tried the InstaNatural Youth Express Eye Serum and the InstaNatural Youth Express Eye Gel together.

The InstaNatural Youth Express Eye Serum is said to be a highly concentrated blend of ingredients to restore a youthful appearance to the eye area, by decreasing the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, dark circles, and puffiness.   I dabbed the InstaNatural Youth Express Eye Serum under each eye with my fingertips.  It comes in an eye dropper form, and goes on nicely with a pleasant light, fresh scent.

The InstaNatural Youth Express Eye Gel is said to increase elasticity and enhance the tone of your skin to provide a firm apprearance.  I  used the InstaNatural Youth Express Eye Gel over my entire face, over the Eye Serum.  It comes in a pump form and dispenses the perfect amount.  I followed with my own moisturizer on top of that.

I used both InstaNatural products morning and night.  Although they recommend using these products for 8 weeks, I used them for a week and a half for this review.  But I must say, that I noticed a difference in my eye area after using these products for only 3 days!  I am 40+ and I will never look like I'm 20 again, but in the week of trying these two products I did truly notice the tiny lines around my eyes seemed to lessen.  My skin also felt much softer.  Hurray for skin care that actually works!

I will be trying more of their products soon, and can't wait to see the results!

Easy Long Scarf Tutorial and Favorite Holiday Traditions

I have been on the hunt for the perfect plaid scarf that will go with multiple items in my closet, but since I hadn't found the one, I decided to make my own.  I've seen several tutorials out there that you have to end up making two because of the length of fabric needed.  Well, I only needed one scarf and didn't want someone else having the same exact scarf so I decided to improvise. :)

I started with 2/3 yard of this gorgeous plaid fabric that was 45".

I folded it the hot dog way so I could make it long.

Then cut on the long fold to create two pieces.

With right sides together I sewed the two short ends together to create one long piece.  In all honesty, I did not line up my plaid.  I knew the seam wouldn't show and it wasn't that big of a deal for me. :)

Now comes the tricky part.  My sewing machine came with an edge curler foot, so that's what I used.

This part is a little difficult if you've never done it before.  You have to feed your fabric through the curl foot, and it can be a little frustrating until you get the hang of it.  Keep trying because it's worth it!  If you don't have a curl foot, you could always press the edges down twice and sew close to the edge.

You can see here how it curls and finishes the edge all nice and pretty.

The ends were the salvages, so I didn't need to finish them.

Because of the length, I'm able to wear my scarf several different ways.  Here I wrapped it around my neck twice.

Here it is wrapped around my neck once loosely.

And here, I tied the short ends together and made it into an infinity scarf. I wrapped it around my neck twice.

I absolutely love how it turned out!  It goes with so many items in my closet, so I'm sure you'll see me wearing it here a lot!
